Despite Culbreth's greatest effort, Angels prevail to send it back to New York

That title makes me sound like a bitter Angels fan, but would it be self-incriminating to reveal that I'm actually pulling for the Yankees?

Above all else, I'm a baseball fan and Fieldin Culbreth missing this call was goshdarn unacceptable:

I took the first freeze frame as the ball was crossing home plate. By rule, that is exactly when it should be determined if it is a strike, not where the catcher frames it (as seen in picture two). Regardless of which frame you look at, that pitch looked pretty damn good. Say what you will, but it's too close for Posada to be taking it and too good for Culbreth to forget how to punch a guy out.

If that's not conclusive enough for you Blue apologists then I'll resort to the Gameday location because technology is never wrong. Feast your hazy eyes on pitch eight:

Lackey shares the reaction of so many monkey flailing Angels fans:

Major props to the Yankees for taking advantage of the help and it's too bad Lackey let a bad call dome job him so much. Nonetheless, if the correct call is made there, the Angels fans save an extra pair of underpants while watching the rest of the game and the teams are on the plane to New York 45 minutes earlier.

See you Saturday night. Our favorite, Dale Scott, is behind home plate. Yeah, we need a day off to prepare for that impending shitshow.

Let's not forget that he seemed to have an expanded zone for Angels' batters...
